Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device capable of installing a device driver that can operate on an updated OS without causing a user to be aware of it even in the case of performing update to an OS on which only a device driver of a specific architecture operates.SOLUTION: A host computer 1000 holds driver information including at least one of the device ID and the driver name of a printer driver 201 of an architecture which does not operate on a first OS used on an unupdated second OS before update to a first OS as unupdated driver information, and installs a device driver 201 of a specific architecture corresponding to the held driver information after performing update to the first OS.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
