Abstract:
Provided is an electric rice cooker which does not require complicated control and is capable of cooking more delicious steamed rice while having a simple structure. According to the present invention, a cooking pot 12 comprises an earthenware pot body 18 and a lid body 22, wherein: the lid body 22 is exposed to the outside at an upper opening 106 of a pot-receiving recess 14; an air passage 102 that expands in the circumferential and vertical directions is formed between the circumferential wall section 70 of the pot receiving recess 14 and the pot body 18 of the cooking pot 12; an upper end opening 104 of the air passage 102 directly communicates with the outside at the upper opening 106 of the pot receiving recess 14; a lower end opening 108 of the air passage 102 communicates with the inside of a rice cooker body 16; and a controller 82 drives a blower fan 80 during a steamed rice steaming process, so that the external air introduced from the lower end opening 108 of the air passage 102 is continuously discharged from the upper end opening 104 without staying inside the air passage 102.
