Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three dimensional (3D) image display system which does not impair enjoyable viewing of a moving image by a user even when the user is viewing a stereo pair image displayed on a portable terminal device by a 3D viewer and a position of the portable terminal device is shifted.SOLUTION: A 3D image display system includes: a portable terminal device having display means which displays an image for a left eye and an image for a right eye side by side; and a 3D viewer which separates the image for a left eye and the image for a right eye displayed on the display means with a partition plate and allows the images to be observed by a left eye and a right eye of a user. The 3D image display system also comprises: partition plate position calculation means which calculates a position of the partition plate from image data of the 3D viewer taken by an in-camera of the portable terminal device; and image display position correction means which deviates the image for a left eye and the image for a right eye in alignment with the position of the partition plate and displays the images on the display means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
