Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device, a display device and a mobile body with improved convenience.SOLUTION: A light source device 16 includes a light source element 19, a liquid crystal panel 22, a beam splitter 24, and a light guide member 25. The liquid crystal panel 22 has a first surface 22a where light from the light source element 19 enters, and a second surface 22b where image projection light exits, the image projection light produced by polarizing the light entering the first surface 22a into a predetermined polarization direction. The beam splitter 24 transmits the image projection light exiting from the second surface 22b of the liquid crystal panel 22 and propagating in a travelling direction, and reflects external light propagating in a reversed direction opposite to the travelling direction into a direction different from the travelling direction. The light guide member 25 guides external light reflected by the beam splitter 24 to enter the first surface 22a of the liquid crystal panel 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
