The surrounding of the self-vehicle is imaged at an angle of view included in the wide-angle image and narrower than the wide-angle image to acquire one or two or more narrow-angle images Na. On the basis of the vanishing point Vp on the wide-angle image, log-polar coordinate transform is performed on the wide-angle image and the narrow-angle image, respectively, to acquire a wide-angle log-polar image TWd and a narrow-angle log-polar image TNa.
