Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery diagnosis device capable of diagnosing whether a chemical reaction accompanied by deterioration occurs under fuel deficiency.SOLUTION: In a fuel deficiency determination process, when a cell 10a under a negative voltage exists in cells 10a, it is determined that fuel deficiency is occurring. Then, the cell 10a under a negative voltage is set as a diagnosis target cell, and based on comparison between the impedance of the diagnosis target cell and an impedance determination threshold value, it is determined whether or not a chemical reaction accompanied by deterioration occurs under fuel deficiency. Specifically, when the impedance of the diagnosis target cell is not more than the impedance determination threshold value, it is determined that a chemical reaction which is not accompanied by deterioration is occurring in the diagnosis target cell, and when the impedance of the diagnosis target cell is larger than the impedance determination threshold value, it is determined that a chemical reaction accompanied by deterioration is occurring in the diagnosis target cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
