Abstract:
An assembly (100) includes a cylinder (110) having a bore diameter, and a piston (105) disposed within the cylinder (110). The piston (105) is provided with a top land (120) and a top ring groove (130). The top land (120) and the cylinder (110) are provided with a tight top land clearance. The ratio of the top land height to the bore diameter is less than or equal to 0.075.
