Abstract:
The invention provides a fixing apparatus capable of an IGBT element from being damaged. In the embodiment, the fixing apparatus includes a belt including a fixing belt, an induction current generation section, an auxiliary heating section, a measurement section, and a control section, wherein the fixing belt has a conductive layer; the induction current generation section is opposite to the fixing belt and has a first coil conducting electromagnetic induction heating to the conductive layer; the auxiliary heating section clamps the fixing belt, is opposite to the induction current generation section, and has a magnetic material, the Curie point of which is lower than that of the conductive layer; the measurement section detects the state of the auxiliary heating section; and the control section reduces output of the induction current generation section, when a detection result from the measurement section is that the auxiliary heating section is over the Curie point.
