Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an own vehicle to effectively let a following vehicle of the own vehicle know the presence of a person walking across a road, by running in a manner that lets a walking person cross a road preferentially.SOLUTION: In a route generation device 20, a crossing person detection unit 21 detects a person crossing a road ahead of a running vehicle 1. A region detection unit 22 detects a running-possible region of a road, where the vehicle 1 may run. A route generation unit 24 generates a route for the vehicle 1 to be able to stop or slow down ahead of a crossing person when running by pulling over to the center of the road in the running-possible region, when the crossing person detection unit 21 has detected the crossing person. A controller 30 conducts automatic control so that the vehicle 1 will run according to the route generated by the route generation device 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
