Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine exhaust treatment device capable of reducing power consumption required for activating a DOC.SOLUTION: An exhaust treatment device for a diesel engine mounted with a DOC 3 comprises an IH coil 4 to inductively heat the DOC 3. The IH coil 4 encloses a whole circumference of the DOC 3. The DOC 3 and the IH coil 4 are supported by an exhaust passage 2 through a holder 9. The holder 9 is made up of a case holder and a cylindrical holder. The case holder is positioned in the exhaust passage 2 and has: a cylindrical case peripheral wall supported by a peripheral wall 2a of the exhaust passage 2; and case edge walls at both edge sections in an axial length direction thereof. Both case edge walls support the DOC 3 with the same penetrating the case edge walls.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
