Abstract:
A pants-type absorbent article (1) which includes: an absorbent body (10) that is provided with an absorbent core (11) arranged along the vertical direction and that is folded at a lower end in the vertical direction to form a front side and a rear side; and a crotch member (23) which is layered at a crotch portion to be positioned over the crotch of a wearer when worn so as to be more to the non-skin side than the absorbent core (11) and which has a crotch extensible region (23s) that stretches and contracts along the vertical direction. The crotch portion of the absorbent core (11) is provided with a crotch low basis weight region (36) which has an average basis weight that is lower than the surrounding regions. The crotch low basis weight region (36) has horizontally long portions (36w) along the left-right direction, and at least some of the horizontally long portions (36w) overlap the crotch extensible region (23s).
