Abstract:
An inventory volume calculation device has: a first calculation unit that, on the basis of a probability distribution of processing times for a plurality of steps performed prior to a prescribed step in a production line, calculates required processing times for a plurality of materials from the first step in the production line until the prescribed step; and a second calculation unit that calculates in-process inventory volumes for the plurality of steps on the basis of the distribution of the required times calculated for the plurality of materials and the processing time of the prescribed step. Thereby, in-process inventory volumes can be quantitatively obtained.
