Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the installation structure of a power management device with which it is possible to heighten the reliability of wireless communication with a watthour meter and dispense with wire communication, and to suppress an increase in the complication or cost of a communication system with the watthour meter, and a building equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A building constructed by a combination of a plurality of building units 20 includes a living space 31 and an HEMS installed in the building units 20. The HEMS is provided with a management controller 41. The management controller 41 includes a communication unit for receiving by wireless a data value that indicates used electric energy from a watthour meter 44 installed on an outer wall 17 of the building. In cases when the communication unit of the watthour meter 44 and itself are linked with a virtual line L1 in a ceiling plenum 32, the power management device 41 is installed in a place where a column 21 and a ceiling beam 22 are nonexistent on the virtual line L1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
