Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop/start control device of an internal combustion engine capable of accurately estimating a pinion gear rotational frequency while compensating difference in rotational frequency characteristics of a motor according to use periods, and smoothly restarting from a rotational frequency reduction period after automatic stop on the basis of the pinion gear rotational frequency.SOLUTION: A stop/start control device of an internal combustion engine according to the present invention executes restarting control as follows during a rotational frequency reduction period of the internal combustion engine 3 after automatic stop. The number of times of restarting C_RS is measured (steps 2, 3), a reference final rotational frequency NMFREF of a motor 11 is calculated according to the number of times of the restarting C_RS (step 13, Fig. 11), and a rotational frequency NP of a pinion gear is calculated on the basis of the reference final rotational frequency and a motor operation time TM_MOT during the rotational frequency reduction period (step 17, Fig. 12). When rotational frequency difference ΔNRP of a ring gear rotational frequency NR and pinion gear rotational frequency NP becomes a prescribed value NRPREF or less, an actuator 10 is operated (steps 18-20).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
