Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for reducing the stress on the side of the display panel from the surface light source device. The surface light source device includes a light guide plate having light incident on the side and light emitted from the light incident surface from the light exit surface, a light source disposed opposite to the light entrance surface of the light guide plate, a light shielding member disposed on the light exit side of the light guide plate, a portion covering the light guide plate, and at least a part of the light source and a cushioning member disposed in contact with the light shielding member.
