PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement in convenience of user operations in high resolution display instruments or multi display systems, as suppressing increase in system costs.SOLUTION: In a display system conducting video transmission by performing a cascade connection from a video source output instrument to a plurality of video display control instruments, and conducting a video display, an upstream video display control instrument is configured to interchange control information or graphic data created in a video area not used by a downstream video display control instrument but used by the upstream video display control instrument to transmit the interchanged control information and graphic data, and the downstream video display control instrument is configured to take in the control information or graphic data embedded in the video area to be used by the upstream video display control instrument, take in a video display area of an own video display control instrument, and conduct a video display of the video display area of the own video display control instrument on the basis of the control information or graphic data to be transmitted from the upstream video display control instrument.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
