Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrant apparatus, when a hydrant door is opened, preventing the hydrant door from blocking a watchdog passage so as to get an obstacle against evacuees, or preventing the hydrant door from projecting to a roadway so as to block up the passage of vehicles.SOLUTION: A hydrant apparatus 1 includes: a hose with a nozzle stored in a housing 3 in an involuted manner; a hydrant valve 20 connected to one end of the hose; and a feed-water valve 18 for water supply. When extinguishing fire, the hydrant door 4 of the housing 3 is opened, the hose with the nozzle is pulled out, and a hydrant valve opening/closing lever 30 is opened to discharge water. An opening 2a of a hydrant apparatus body 2 is configured to be opened/closed by the hydrant door 4. The hydrant door 4 includes an upper door 24 and a lower door 25 in the vertical direction, the upper door 24 is opened outward about a rotary shaft 26, while the lower door 25 is lowered in a receiving groove 33 provided on the lower side. The nozzle and the hydrant valve opening/closing lever 30 are installed on the inner surface of the upper door 24 so as to facilitate the take-out of the nozzle and an operation of the hydrant valve opening/closing lever 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
