Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing an absorbent article capable of improving a production efficiency of the absorbent article that comprises an absorber in which water absorptive granular materials are arranged inside a plurality of fibers of a tow and capable of preventing returning of liquid in the absorbent article.SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for producing an absorbent article comprises: a gas fiber-opening apparatus 9 that opens a plurality of fibers 60 of a conveyed tow with a gas in at least one fiber-opening chamber 43; an addition apparatus 10 that adds a water absorptive granular material to the tow at an upstream side in a conveyance direction relative to an exit of the fiber-opening chamber 43 at the most downstream side in the conveyance direction of the tow in the gas fiber-opening apparatus 9; and an attaching apparatus 11 that attaches a binder for combining the plurality of fibers on an upper surface of the tow at a downstream side in the conveyance direction relative to the gas fiber-opening apparatus 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
