Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that a strainer 8 causes a suction failure due to the growth of a water component in oil to a water droplet, and a freeze of the water droplet.SOLUTION: An oil pan is of a double-tank type composed of an inner tank 1 and an outer tank 2, and a recess 9 into which a suction port of a strainer 8 is inserted is formed at a deep bottom 6 of the inner tank 1. A communication groove 10 which communicates with the recess 9 at one end, and is remote from the recess 9 at the other end is formed in the inner tank 1, and a small hole 12 for moving a water droplet 15 to the outer tank 2 is formed at a terminal end of the communication groove 10. Since the water droplet 15 which has moved to the outer tank 2 does not return to the inner tank 1, there does not arise a problem resulting from a freeze of the water droplet 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
