Abstract:
The present invention provides a monitoring system for detecting the motion of a person photographed by a camera, determining "texting while walking," and effectively issuing a warning. A monitoring system in which an image processing device 1, using a visible light camera, integrates the movement speed and movement direction and the inclination of the head of a person detected from video data photographed with a plurality of cameras 3 and information of whether or not his arm is located forward and fixed, determines "texting while walking" and issues a warning; or the image processing device 1, using an infrared camera, detects the degree of inclination of the head by human body part identification and posture estimation from video data photographed with a plurality of cameras 3, integrates the movement speed and movement direction of the detected person and information of whether or not his arm is located forward and fixed, and determines "texting while walking" and issues a warning; and further the image processing device 1 issues a warning when the direction of progression of the person "texting while walking" is headed to a preregistered dangerous area or dangerous place.
