Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide for a virtual image display, which can suppress generation of stray light.SOLUTION: The light guide includes: a ray entering part; a reflecting part to guide image light entering the ray entering part into an inner part of the light guide; a ray exiting part 104 to allow the image light to exit to the outside; and an image extracting part 103 where a first face 103a and a second face 103 are alternately arranged to guide the image light from the first face to the ray exiting part 104. The image extracting part 103 has a third face 103c disposed between the first face and the second face and inclined toward the second face, and a fourth face 103d between the first face and the third face and parallel to the ray exiting part 104, and satisfies conditional formula (1). In the formula, La represents a width of the first face, θa represents an angle formed by the first face and the ray exiting part, Lc represents a width of the third face, θc represents an angle between the third face and the ray exiting part, Ld represents a width of the fourth face, and θrepresents a reflection angle of image light reflected on the second face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
