Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an organic layer from deteriorating from a portion located above an insulating layer at the edge portion of the organic layer in a light-emitting device having a coating film covering a light emitting portion.SOLUTION: A light emitting unit 140 is formed on a substrate 100 and includes a first electrode 110, an organic layer 120, and a second electrode 130. The organic layer 120 is located between the first electrode 110 and the second electrode 130. An insulating layer 150 defines a light emitting portion 140. A coating film 200 covers the light emitting portion 140 and at least a part of the insulating layer 150. At least a part of the end portion of the organic layer 120 is located on the insulating layer 150. At least a part of the upper surface of the insulating layer 150 which overlaps with the organic layer 120 has irregularities 151.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
