PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous crystalline metal oxide nanoparticle that can efficiently produce a porous and crystalline metal oxide nanoparticle and to provide a porous crystalline metal oxide nanoparticle.SOLUTION: A method for producing a porous crystalline metal oxide nanoparticle includes a step of impregnating an organic co-continuous porous body having pores of an average diameter of 100 nm to 10 μm with a sol solution containing a hydrolyzable metal compound or a hydrolyzate thereof, and a step of firing the organic co-continuous porous body impregnated with the sol solution.SELECTED DRAWING: None
