Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply circuit capable of increasing a switching speed of an FET, reducing a switching loss, and improving power conversion efficiency by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A switching power supply circuit comprises: a quick off control circuit 3 that, when an FET Q1 starts turning into an off state, in response to voltage drop at an output side thereof, applies a charging current of a capacitor to a control electrode of a transistor Q2 and thereby, turns on the transistor Q2 and quickly switches off the FET Q1; a negative voltage generation circuit 5 that, at turning on the transistor Q2, applies a negative voltage to a control electrode of the FET Q1 and operates so as to increase a switch-off speed of the FET Q1 and shift a voltage at the control electrode of the FET Q1 to a negative side to include a negative voltage; and a protection circuit 7 that operates the negative voltage generation circuit 5 so as not to be affected by a parasitic diode of the FET Q1, and applies a voltage including the negative voltage as a gate voltage of the FET Q1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
