Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic frication engaging device which can suppress resistance when an armature moves in an axial direction, thus suppress power consumption, and improve responsivity, in the electromagnetic friction engaging device coupling a first member and a second member disposed so as to relatively rotate by the axial movement of the armature due to magnetic force.SOLUTION: A clutch device 1 in which an outer housing 2 and an inner shaft 3 disposed so as to relatively rotate are coupled by friction force, includes: an electromagnetic coil 40 which generates magnetic force by energization; a clutch plate 5 regulated in relative rotation with the outer housing 2; an annular armature 6 which generates friction force by axial movement to the clutch plate 5 side by the magnetic force of the electromagnetic coil 40; and a leaf spring 7 which energizes the armature 6 so as to axially separate from the clutch plate 5. The armature 6 is supported by the leaf spring 7 so as not to relatively rotate to the inner shaft 3, and so as to move in the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
