Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lamp capable of forming an appropriate light distribution pattern, and a control method of the same.SOLUTION: A light distribution calculation unit 16 detects a position and size of a vehicle on the opposite lane on the basis of photographed image data. A head lamp control unit 15 calculates a vehicle inclination angle on the basis of detected vehicle height data by vehicle height sensors 18a to 18d. The light distribution calculation unit 16 transmits a light distribution control signal to be a light distribution pattern not irradiating a windshield of the vehicle on the opposite lane with light, to a control device 13 on the basis of the detected position and size of the vehicle on the opposite lane and the vehicle inclination angle. The control device 13 drives an excitation light source 11 and a light deflector 12 on the basis of the light distribution control signal. The light distribution calculation unit 16 transmits a light distribution control signal for inclining the light distribution pattern by a difference between the calculated vehicle inclination angle and a newly calculated vehicle inclination angle to the control device 13. The control device 13 drives the excitation light source 11 and the light deflector 12 so as to incline the light distribution pattern on the basis of the received light distribution control signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
