Abstract:
To provide a fuel tank fitting structure which can prevent breakage of a fuel tank without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: A fuel tank fitting structure 1 comprises a cross member 3 which is provided between a rear part of a front floor panel 4f and a front part of a rear floor panel 4r of a vehicle, and a fuel tank 2 which is fitted to a rear end face part 3r side of the cross member 3. The fuel tank 2 comprises a front end face part 2f along a vehicle width direction, and two inclined plane parts 2c, 2c which are connected to both ends of the front end face part 2f and cross in the vehicle width direction in a top view. The cross member 3 comprises a pair of fitting parts 33, 33 which projects rearward in a top view. Each fitting part 33, 33 includes opposite face parts 33r, 33r which are so located as to be opposite to each inclined plane part 2c, 2c. At the time of back collision, three parts comprising the front end face part 2f and both inclined plane parts 2c, 2c contact three faces of the rear end face part 3r and the fitting parts 33, 33, thereby dispersing a force acting on the fuel tank 2 and preventing breakage of the fuel tank 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
