Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defibrillation catheter, even when being used for a procedure by an approach from the inferior vena cava, preventing a distal end thereof from injuring an inside wall of the right atrium and preventing a tip member from dropping during the procedure.SOLUTION: An intracardiac defibrillation catheter includes a tube member 10, a tip member 80 mounted on a distal end thereof, electrode groups 31G and 32G, and lead wire groups 41G and 42G. The tube member 10 includes a central lumen 10L and sub lumens 11L-18L, formed thereon, and a cylindrical reduced-diameter part 1012 delimiting the central lumen 10L projects in the direction of a distal end, at the distal end 101 of the tube member 10. The tip member 80 is composed of resin, includes a through-hole formed along the axial direction, has a same outside diameter as that of the tube member 10, and is mounted on a tip of the tube member 10 to cover the outer periphery of the reduced-diameter part 1012, where the tip of the tip member 80 matches the tip of the reduced-diameter part 1012.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
