Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymethylpentene fiber excellent in light weight and water repellency, having fine fineness capable suitably being used as a clothing fiber and having less thick and thin irregularities.SOLUTION: There is provided polymethylpentene fiber having single fiber fineness obtained by drawing a raw yarn with elongation of 100% or less at 1.1 to 3.0 times at drawing temperature of 150 to 220°C of 0.3 to 3 dtex and U% (Normal) of less than 3.0, total fineness of 10 to 500 dtex, elongation of 10 to 90% and strength of 2.0 cN/dtex or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
