Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method which simplifies the site work of spiral footboard installation.SOLUTION: A curved staircase A is installed with a stringer 10 on its outer peripheral wall 20. A column 30 is put up at the inside part of the curved staircase A. Guide plates 40 formed according to calculated sizes of spiral footboards 1 are fitted to the column 30 and the stringer 10 to measure the differences in dimension from the size of the spiral footboards 1 actually to be installed. Referring to the guide plates 40, original spiral footboards 50, which have been pre-cut in sizes larger than the guide plates 40 taking into considerations the aforesaid dimension differences, are cut to become fit-at-site spiral footboards 1 which match in dimension the spiral footboards 1 actually to be installed. The formed fit-at-site spiral footboards 1 are fitted to the column 30 and the stringer 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
