Abstract:
This magnetic powder flaw detection apparatus is provided with: a camera that photographs an object being inspected; and a detection device that detects, from an original image acquired by the camera, a flaw in the object being inspected, wherein the detection device includes a flaw determination unit that, when: a flaw candidate portion 43 extracted from the original image is positioned between two straight lines s1 and s2, which are parallel with the long axis direction of the flaw candidate portion 43, in a width calculation region Lc having a predetermined length in the long axis direction of the flaw candidate portion 43; and the distance (width w) between the two straight lines s1 and s2 falls within a predetermined range, determines that the flaw candidate portion 43 is a flaw.
