Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material transport unit which can suppress floating of a sheet material with high accuracy.SOLUTION: As shown in figs. 6(a), (b), plural vertical suction grooves 16 are formed on a transport direction rear end side of a sucking plate which is wound on a surface of a transportation drum, and each vertical suction groove 16 is communicated with a lateral suction groove 15 communicating with a suction port 14 of a transportation drum 9. There is a distance between the lateral suction groove 15 and a suction hole 11 which is the closest to the lateral suction groove, and even if some suction holes 11 are opened when adsorbing paper 2b having a small size, a negative pressure in the lateral suction groove 15 is slightly reduced by a channel resistance of the vertical suction groove 16. As shown in figs. 6(c), (d), in the case that suction holes 11 are provided over a whole range of the vertical suction groove 16 as in the past, an inflow amount from the suction hole 11 near the opened lateral suction groove 15 to the lateral suction groove 15 is increased, whereby a suction force is remarkably decreased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
