Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck of a cylinder system.SOLUTION: A chuck comprising: a chuck body B1 which is supported on a rotary main spindle Y of a machine tool; a piston 6 which is so assembled in a hollow chamber 5 provided in the chuck body as to be reciprocatingly slide; a first air inflow passage 8 which is so provided as to be communicated with a rear compartment of the piston; a second air inflow passage 10 which is so provided as to be communicated with a front compartment of the piston; through-holes 13, through which a front end face of the hollow chamber and a front end face of the chuck body are communicated with each other, are provided around a shaft core of the chuck body so as to become an ascent gradient forward; a rod 14 which penetrates each though-hole; engagement transmission means C which are provided at a front end of the piston and at a terminal of the rod so as to transmit slide of the piston to the rod; and an outside gripping claw 21 which is projected forward from a tip of each rod and clamps an outer periphery of a work-piece W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
