Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can protect a bundle wire while ensuring the amount of rotation of a conveying unit.SOLUTION: An image reading part comprises: a reading unit 30; an ADF 1 (conveying unit) that is arranged above the reading unit 30 and conveys a sheet; a hinge mechanism (support part) that supports the ADF 1 with respect to the reading unit 30 openably/closably and movably in the vertical direction between an upper position and a lower position; a bundle wire BW that passes through the reading unit 30 and transmits a signal or power to the ADF 1; and a duct 13 (cover part) that covers the bundle wire BW between the reading unit 30 and ADF 1. The duct 13 includes a body part 12 that is rotatably supported by the ADF 1, and a lid part 12f that is supported by the body part 12 at a support portion (rotation fulcrum 13c) and moves accompanying the open/close operation of the ADF 1; the rotation fulcrum 13c of the lid part 12f is arranged below a rotation fulcrum 11c of the ADF 1 with respect to the hinge mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
