Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used fuel storage facility for suppressing movement of a used fuel storage rack by using resistance of water stored in a storage pit in which movement suppression effects of the storage rack can be further improved.SOLUTION: A used fuel storage facility comprises: a used fuel storage pit constituted by having a substantially horizontal bottom surface and an inner wall substantially vertically erected from the bottom surface in a state of storing water therein; a used fuel storage rack installed so as to be movable to the bottom surface of the used fuel storage pit in water in the used fuel storage pit in a state of storing an assembly of used nuclear fuel therein; and a water flow suppression member installed on the inner wall of the used fuel storage pit or in the vicinity thereof for suppressing the flow of water generated due to the movement of the used fuel storage rack in water in the used fuel storage pit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
