Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical seal which achieves excellent maintenance workability.SOLUTION: A mechanical seal 1 seals a sealed fluid L in a device M and includes: a rotary shaft 3; a casing 2 into which the rotary shaft 3 is inserted; a stationary ring 40 held by the casing 2; a sleeve 10 into which the rotary shaft 3 is fixedly inserted in a detachable manner; and a rotary ring 30 which is held by the sleeve 10 and forms a sealing part S1 with the stationary ring 40. The sleeve 10 has: a first sleeve 11 which is disposed at the opposite side of the sealed fluid L side with respect to the sealing part S1; and a second sleeve 21 which is disposed at the sealed fluid L side with a part thereof exposed. The second sleeve 21 is detachably attached to the first sleeve 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
