Abstract:
An apparatus comprises:- a dispensing device (3) having an exit mouth (18) which is conformed as a slit for dispensing a continuous flat structure from which a laminar dose can be severed;- a mould (7) provided with a pair of elements (8, 9), at least one of said elements (8, 9) being movable towards the other in a moulding direction (Y), so as to compression mould an object from the dose (2);- a transport device (6) for carrying the dose towards the mould (7);- means for modifying orientation of the dose (2) while the dose (2) is being transported by the transport device (6), so that the dose (2) is introduced into the mould (7) while the dose (2) is lying in a plane arranged transversely to the moulding direction (Y).
