To provide a pleat type cartridge filter of high filtration performance, by improving capturability of foreign matter.SOLUTION: The present invention is a cartridge filter of folding up a filtration material in a pleat shape, and relates to the cartridge filter in which the filtration material comprises a first fiber layer, and any one selected from a group composed of a second fiber layer, a first net and a laminate body of the first net and the second fiber layer is arranged on the inflow side of the first fiber layer, and when arranging the laminate body of the first net and the second fiber layer on the inflow side of the first fiber layer, it is arranged in order of the first net and the second fiber layer from the inflow side, and a third fiber layer is arranged on the outflow side of the first fiber layer, and an average hole diameter of the first fiber layer is 0.5-20 μm, and an average hole diameter of the third fiber layer is 3-25 μm, and the average hole diameter of the third fiber layer is 1.1-8 times of the average hole diameter of the first fiber layer, and in the whole fiber layers for constituting the filtration material, the fiber layer smallest in the average hole diameter is the first fiber layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
