Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a collision energy absorption effect of a front frame provided on a front part of a floor panel.SOLUTION: A front frame structure of a vehicle comprises: a main frame 21 fixed to a front part of a floor panel of a vehicle; an inclination frame 15 extended from a bent part 13 on a front end of the main frame 21 to a front side and outward of a vehicle width direction; and a V-shaped frame 22 formed of an inside frame 17 and an outside frame 18 which are expanded in a V-shape to inside and outside of a vehicle width direction, to a rear side from a front apex 16. The inside frame 17 is connected to the main frame 21 on a rear side of the bent part 13, the outside frame 18 is connected to the inclination frame 15 on a front side of the bent part 13, and an outer end in a vehicle width direction of a bumper beam 24 is supported to the apex 16 of the V-shaped frame 22 through a bumper beam extension 23. During small overlap collision time, the inclination frame 15 is folded outward of the vehicle width direction, from the bent part 13 on a front end of the main frame 21, for efficiently absorbing collision energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
