Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus and method capable of efficiently recovering energy from wastewater while suppressing fouling of a membrane.SOLUTION: A wastewater treatment apparatus comprises: a solid-liquid separation tank 1 for solid-liquid separating precipitating organic matter in wastewater to obtain separated sludge and a separated liquid; a forward osmotic membrane device 3 having a semipermeable membrane and bringing the separated liquid into contact with a driving liquid having a higher osmotic pressure than the separated liquid through the semipermeable membrane to obtain concentrated water and treated water; a disinfectant supply device 4 for supplying a disinfectant to the separated liquid before flowing into the forward osmosis membrane device 3; a concentrated water storage tank 5 for storing the concentrated water; and an anaerobic treatment tank 6 for decomposing the concentrated water and separated sludge to convert them into methane gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
