Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller capable of stopping a servo motor for a short time in response to stop of operation relative to an input unit.SOLUTION: A CPU of a numerical controller acquires (S67) a total amount of rotation that is a sum of an amount of rotation relative to a steering wheel for each prescribed period. The CPU determines (S69) whether an absolute value of the total amount of rotation acquired during an n-th period (n is an integer) is larger than a prescribed threshold. When determining that the total amount of rotation is larger than the prescribed threshold (S69: YES), the CPU identifies (S71) a target position based on the total amount of rotation. An A shaft drive controller outputs a pulse signal for rotating an A shaft motor up to the target position during a (n+1) period. When the CPU determines that the total amount of rotation is equal to or smaller than the prescribed threshold, the A shaft drive controller outputs (S75) a stop signal for stopping rotation of the A shaft motor at a time of a start of the (n+1) period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
