Abstract:
A slide-traveling device (50) equipped with a structure for extending the life span thereof has installed therein a first block (41, 51) that retains rolling elements (520) and a second block (31) provided with travel surfaces (311, 313, 314) with which the rolling elements (520) make contact, so as to cause linear relative movement between the first block (41, 51) and the second block (31), wherein: a holding member (52) for holding the rolling elements (520) is detachably mounted to the first block (41, 51); and as the mounting state of the holding member (52) is changed with respect to the first block (41, 51), the positions of the rolling elements (520) are shifted in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the relative movement.
