Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively make use of containing space to bring advantage in ensuring a capacity, and to simplify an assembling process in connection with a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery comprises a first-polarity current collector, a first-polarity electrode composition, a separator, a second-polarity electrode composition and a second-polarity current collector which are encased in an outer packaging body. In the lithium ion battery, a first exterior packaging part and a second exterior packaging part each have a bottom, a side wall and an opening. In the first exterior packaging part, the first-polarity current collector and the first-polarity electrode composition are encased. In the second exterior packaging part, the second-polarity current collector and the second-polarity electrode composition are encased. Further, the first exterior packaging part which contains the first-polarity current collector and the first-polarity electrode composition is arranged in the second exterior packaging part which contains the second-polarity current collector and the second-polarity electrode composition so that the first-polarity electrode composition is opposed to the second-polarity electrode composition through the separator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
