Abstract:
An organic photoelectric conversion element having an active layer including an organic semiconductor provided between a pair of electrodes comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and an electron transport layer containing a nitrogen-containing polymer, the electron transport layer being provided between the negative electrode and the active layer, wherein the number of nitrogen cations (N+) and the number of nitrogen atoms (N) that the polymer contains are such that (N+)/{(N+)+(N)} ≥ 0.2.
