Abstract:
When generating and editing episodes of care for patient, care events are grouped into episodes and stored in an episode of care database (14) that stores the episodes of care established for a patient. A data acquisition module (12) collects medical N events from one or more medical data systems, and an episode of care visualization module (16) displays to a user established episodes of care. An episode of care construction user interface (18) allows the user to create, extend and modify an episode of care in the episode of care visualization module. A grouping module (20) automatically creates episodes of care and presents suggestions to the user for extending established episodes of care with yet unrelated medical events.
