Abstract:
To provide a seat belt device that can appropriately protect an occupant at a timing close to the end of self-driving.SOLUTION: A seat belt device 1 is schematically configured to include a control unit 24. For example, the control unit controls at least one tension adjustment part configured to adjust a tensile force of a webbing 10, and gives warning by applying a first tensile force to the webbing 10 by input of a trigger signal Sfor waning that self-driving is close to the end. Thereafter, a determination is made such that a restriction to an occupant 9 is to be increased without satisfaction of a preliminarily-set first condition. In such a case, the control unit applies a second tensile force greater than the first tensile force to the webbing 10 and thereby increases the restriction to the occupant 9. In addition, when a preliminarily-set second condition is satisfied during the application of the second tensile force, the control unit stops the application of the second tensile force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
