Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having activity to inhibit growth of cancer stem cell, a manufacturing method of the compound and a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition containing the compound.SOLUTION: There is provided a lignan compound obtained by a manufacturing method including (A) a process of extracting Chinese gutta percha with water or water/alcohol mixed solvent to obtain an extract, (B) a process of extracting the extract with alcohol to obtain a water phase and an alcohol phase and (C) a process of separation purifying the water phase by normal phase chromatography and then reverse phase chromatography.SELECTED DRAWING: None
