PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp device in which an optical axis adjustment is not required, and an optical member can be easily mounted.SOLUTION: A short arc type discharge lamp comprising a body to which a reflection surface is formed on an inner surface of a concave place of a front surface, and a window member provided to an opening of the concave place of the body, comprises: an optical member arranged on the front direction of the window member; and a holder formed by the body that holds the optical member. The short arc type discharge lamp includes a window support member. The window support member includes: an inner ring part to be fixed onto an external peripheral surface of the window member; an external ring part having a diameter larger than that of the inner ring part, surrounding the inner part ring part; a coupling part that couples the inner ring part and the external ring part; and a crossed sectional U-shaped double ring structure. The holder includes a mounting part to be mounted to the short arc type discharge lamp. The mounting part has an inner diameter suitably for an outer diameter of the inner ring part and the outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the external ring part. In the holder, the mounting part is lapped and inserted into a cylindrical space between the inner ring part and the external ring part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
