Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device capable of maintaining the sealing performance of a protection cover by preventing damage to a seal member of the protection cover without applying complicated machining to an inner side opening part of an outward member.SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device 1 includes an inward member consisting of an outer ring 2, a hub ring 3, and an inner ring 4 pressed into a small-diameter step part 3a of the hub ring 3, double-row rolling elements, a cylindrical protection cover 9 which is fitted to the inner periphery of a one-side opening part 2a of the outer ring 2 and on which a seal member 10 is provided, and a cylindrical sensor holder 11 fitted to the further outside than the protection cover 9, the outer ring 2 being formed with a protection cover fitting part 13a to which the protection cover 9 is fitted, a seal part 13b with which the seal member 10 of the protection cover 9 has contact, and a sensor holder fitting part 13c to which the sensor holder 11 is fitted, the seal part 13b and the sensor holder fitting part 13c being located adjacent to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
