Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy plate having excellent plastic workability at room temperature and also excellent strength.SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy plate comprises a magnesium base alloy. The magnesium base alloy has a composition consisting of at least one of 0.05 mass% or more and 0.3 mass% or less of Ca and 0.05 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less of a rare earth element, and 0.5 mass% or more and 6.2 mass% or less of Zn, with the balance being Mg and inevitable impurities. The magnesium base alloy also has a structure with an average crystal grain size of 15 μm or less, in which, when a pole figure of (0002) plane is taken by EBSD method, there are three or more peaks with an angle of inclination of a crystal orientation of the (0002) plane to the plate surface being 10° or more and 70° or less, and its pole density being 2.5 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
